Boys held to a draw in football opener

St Mary's and Woodlands battled to a 2-2 draw in their first match of the season.

Woodlands U11 boys looked to get their season off to winning ways - but had to settle for a point against a spirited St Mary's team. Woodlands hit the post early on before going 2-0 up thanks to goals from Callum, but conceded two good goals either side of the break to draw 2-2. Woodlands struggled to create too many clear chances and will now look to get a victory in the first round of the cup next Tuesday at home against Hopton.
