North Denes 1 - 10 Woodlands

Our U11 Girls began their defence of the league title with a strong performance and all 3 points.

A side featuring 8 girls from years 5 & 6 travelled to take on North Denes in their first match of the season. For some of the girls it was their first game for the school - and a great way to start.

All of Woodlands goalkeepers (4 in total) had an important influence on the game - Ellie saved a 1 on 1 with the score still 2-0, while Stevie made several saves during her stint between the sticks. Some good passing and determination going forward opened things up in attack - with Hannah claiming 4 goals and Olivia 2, with both hitting the post as well. Tilly, Stevie, Ellie and Ruby each netted to round off the scoring.

Player of the match went to Tilly for the sheer effort she put into the game - at one point sprinting the entire length of the pitch to help out her defence and clear the ball from danger.
