Year 5 go to Ullswater

36 members of Year 5 spent last week on an Outward Bounds course in the Lake District.

They had an amazing time, with lots of high adventure, learning and personal development.   All the adults who accompanied the visit were impressed with the developments seen in the children over the week, and think it was one of the best experiences we have ever offered children!

Woodlands Class of 2013

Year 6 had their ‘moving on’ assembly today, and we enjoyed celebrating the many successes of the class of 2013, and, because of our Brancaster visit next week, it was many of Year 6′s last day at Woodlands.

Videos and photos from the assembly will be posted on our website shortly, but in the meantime you can re-watch the ‘Class of 2013′ video below.


We wish all of our Year 6′s the very best of luck at High School and will miss having them at Woodlands!

Beatles Mania grips Woodlands!

Yesterday over 180 adults joined us at Woodlands for our ‘Beatles Mania’ concert which saw lots of children (and staff) wear 60′s clothes and perform fantastic versions of Beatles songs.

Video from the evening will be shared soon, but in the meantime here are some photographs from our evening.

Mrs S MercerI’m Sheila Mercer, Head Teacher at Woodlands Primary School and I would like to welcome you to our website.

Our school is enjoying the second year of full primary status and has become an important part of our local community. The primary school is now evolving and taking on board new ideas to be able to provide the best possible start in life for the children of Bradwell. At Woodlands Primary School we believe that each child is unique and should be valued and responded to as an individual. Our pupils are encouraged to aim high with an emphasis on doing their best and making full use of their talents.
